Virginia State Budget Includes $25 million for Virginia Tech-led Commonwealth Cyber Initiative

The newly funded program will leverage Virginia Tech's Data Analytics Center and the Biocomplexity Institute to bring together computer scientists, engineers, and statisticians to meet the research and talent needs of a data-intensive world. As the lead organization of this initiative, Virginia Tech will issue a report to the General Assembly by December 1 to outline next steps for the program.
