A growing number of government agencies seeking to expand the role big data plays in their day-to-day operations. Since launching Data Science for the Public Good in 2015, the Biocomplexity Institute has expanded this program to serve five Virginia counties, regional agencies like the Washington Metropolitian Area Transit Authority, and national organizations like the US Army Research Institute.
