Fenix Wenda Huang is a research assistant professor at Biocomplexity Institute of Virginia Tech, USA. He received his PhD under the supervision of Professor Christian Reidys at the Center for Combinatorics, Nankai University, China, a Key Laboratory for Pure Mathematics and Combinatorics. After two years of post doc at Institute of mathematics and computer science, University of Southern Denmark (SDU), he is promoted as an assistant professor at the same department, 2014.
The core theme of his research is the discrete maths and algorithms in the context of pseudoknot RNA structures. He did a lot of work on the framework of algorithms predicting RNA pseudoknot structures as well as RNA-RNA interaction structures based on combinatorial and topological classification.
